FX Street - Gold drifts lower as stale longs book profits
London, 10 March 2009 - Despite renewed equity weakness the precious complex closed lower yesterday as the absence of strong ETF investment flows again prompted liquidation from stale longs. The Dow finished down 1% while the Nasdaq lost almost 2% although a rebound has been seen overnight with the Hang Seng currently up 3.4%. The Dollar Index regained lost ground Monday, settling at 89.16 while EUR/USD closed at 1.2603 and the USD/JPY 98.77. The greenback is trading lower this morning with
